The Advanced Training Program on Humanitarian Action (ATHA) is designed to enhance the knowledge and capacity of humanitarian NGOs operating in complex environments through training courses, policy support, networking and dialogue.
Humanitarian NGOs are increasingly called upon to work in complex and unstable situations. This increased exposure of staff to conflict environments is an emerging trend, which necessitates the development of strategic tools to enhance the capacity of these organizations in high-risk environments.
The program, co-organized by the Sida Civil Society Center (SCSC) and the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard University (HPCR), aims to serve the information and policy needs of the humanitarian aid professionals.
