Dustin A. Lewis
Dustin focuses on the Program's international law (especially IHL) and policy portfolios, as well as its communication and technology platforms. He engages in research, analysis, and advisory services concerning challenges to humanitarian law and policy in contemporary conflicts. Dustin also co-hosts HPCR's global Live Web Seminar series, and contributes to the Program's IHL in Action Blog, thematic working groups, and educational initiatives.
Dustin is a graduate of Utrecht University School of Law (LL.M. summa cum laude in international law of human rights and criminal justice) and Harvard University (A.B. cum laude in history). Before joining the HPCR team, he was a Visiting Professional in the chambers of Judge Sir Adrian Fulford at the International Criminal Court. Dustin has written about jurisdictional arrangements and international criminal procedure, international law pertaining to sexual violence against men in conflict, and humanitarian engagement under counterterrorism, as well as encyclopedia entries on freedom of speech and civil liberties organizations.
