HPCR International announces the 8th Core Professional Training on Humanitarian Law and Policy to be held in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard University. The Core Professional Training on Humanitarian Law and Policy is tailored to meet the needs of policymakers and practitioners working in the field of humanitarian assistance and protection in conflicts around the world. The Core Professional Training provides both dynamic expert instruction and policy tools that are directly linked to practice and contemporary challenges. Combining group discussions, case studies and simulations, this event will cover the following topics: - Protecting Civilians in Times of Armed Conflict - Regulating the Conduct of Hostilities - Managing Humanitarian Access - Ensuring a Safe Access for Humanitarian Organizations - Planning for Humanitarian Protection - Contemporary Challenges to Humanitarian Policy A Thematic Workshops on Humanitarian Security Management will immediately follow the Core training on June 25-26. These courses are designed for mid-career professionals with 3-5 years of experience in humanitarian affairs, or the equivalent.
